Once superhit on-screen jodi, Salma Agha and Raj Babbar, will be gracing the stage of the singing reality show Indian Idol 14. The actors starred together in films like Nikaah and Salma.
A promo of the episode was shared on social media. In the video, Salma and Raj are seen seated beside the judges of the show, Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Kumar Sanu. The show’s contestant Adya Mishra sings the popular song “Dil Ke Armaan” which leaves Salma, who herself is a singer, impressed.
Salma walks up to the stage and tells Adya, “You are the star of the show. Lovely, unique voice you have. A very earthy, husky voice which will be loved by people.” Later, Salma also sings the song with Adya, leaving the audience and the judges of the singing reality show in awe.

Pakistan-born actor-singer Salma Agha made her Bollywood debut with the 1982 film Nikaah which was directed by BR Chopra. For the movie, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer. Salma also drew attention with her performance in Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki (1984) opposite Mithun Chakraborty. She also sang the song “Come Closer” in the film. The other songs to the actor-singer’s credit are “Ae mere mehboob” and “Jeena bhi kya hai jeena”.
While Salma stayed away from the limelight after 2016, Raj Babbar was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video show Happy Family: Conditions Apply, where he played the role of Mansukhlal Dholakia.
