To boost party preparation ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Tripura BJP Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha Thursday said vistarak yojana programs will be held from December 12 in all 20 Assembly seats reserved for scheduled tribes in the state.
Tripura has two Lok Sabha seats, one of which is reserved for tribals.
Vistaraks are BJP campaign managers in charge of a constituency while the grass-root level poll preparations are managed by panna pramukhs.
Addressing a meeting of the BJP tribal wing at the state party headquarters in Agartala, CM Saha said, “We have already started the preparations to gift two Lotuses (read seats) from Tripura to Modi-ji in the 2024 LS polls.”
He later posted on X, “Today held an organizational meeting at @BJP4Tripura state office for successful implementation of the programme.”
After the victory of the BJP in the recently held Assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, Saha had said that it was a reflection of the mood of the nation and that the BJP would win both Lok Sabha seats in the state.
