Bigg Boss 17 is buzzing with excitement, and Salman Khan is visibly thrilled. Following unexpected twists, turns, and shocking revelations post Karan Johar’s intervention, there’s another surprising addition to the show. After the recent wild card entries of Samarth Jurel and Manasvi, the show welcomes a new international star and popular K-pop singer, Aoora.

Sharing the promotional video on X, the caption read, Jab hogi wild card entry of the the biggest K-Pop sensation, tab badal jaayegi ghar ke andar ki situation.” In the video, Aoora is said, “Janam se vidheshi, dil se desi.”

Fans on the internet were excited for Aoora’s arrival in Salman’s house. One of the fans wrote, “BiggBoss is getting more interesting day by day Let’s use this excuse to learn some Korean language.”

Who is Aoora?

Born Park Min-jun, Aoora is a South Korean singer and composer. He started with the South Korean boy band Double-A and its subunit Aoora&Hoik. His first song was “Love Back” (2009). He found popularity in India with a mashup of Salman’s song “Swag Se Swagat”.

The singer recently released K-pop versions of Bollywood’s Eighties hits Auva Auva and Jimmy Jimmy, originally composed by Bappi Lahiri, through the major label Saregama. In an interview with Rolling Stone India, Aoora had said,  “I became familiar with Indian music almost a year back when I first heard the ‘Cham Cham’ song. I felt the energy of Indian songs – not just Bollywood but also Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi – matched with my energy and liking. I started exploring more Indian music. I wanted to explore a music genre where I could bring both Indian and K-pop music elements together.” he has also held concerts in India.

This season, Ankita Lokhande, Munawar Faruqui, Vicky Jain, Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar among others are participating in the reality show.
