The incident took place in Subhash Colony on Saturday. The owner of the house, outside which the incident took place, submitted a written application to the city police station demanding for a case to be registered against the accused.
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reacted to the “horrifying” incident. In a post on the microblogging site X, he condemened such acts, while adding that swift and strict action will be taken to ensure that justice is served.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also took to X and said that the man, for sure, should be “penalised for this barbarism”.

In the disturbing video, two puppies can be seen approaching the man sitting on the porch of a closed shop. One of the puppies moves closer to the man while wagging its tail.
In an instant, the man picks up the puppy and thrashes it onto the road, following which he gets up and goes on to stomp on the puppy and then leaves the spot.

PREVIOUS INCIDENTS
Earlier last month, a stray dog tested positive for rabies after it was beaten to death for biting 29 people in Chennai’s GA Road within a span of two hours.
The ones who were attacked by the dog were administered with initial doses of the anti-rabies vaccine and will receive their second dose on Friday.
The dogs carcass was later sent to Madras Veterinary College for post-mortem.
In a similar incident of cruelty on dogs, a 28-year-old man was arrested for sexually abusing a female dog and throwing her to the ground from his third-floor house in Greater Noida in October.
The incident took place around midnight when the accused was spotted with the dog on the balcony of his house by a neighbour, who sensed something odd and raised an alarm.
The accused was booked under Indian Penal Code Section 377 (carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal), and charges have also been invoked under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, police said.
