4 die in accident on Dhrangadhra-Ahmedabad highway | Ahmedabad News

Four men died after the driver of the car they were travelling in lost control of the vehicle and hit a divider on the Dhrangadhra-Ahmedabad highway in Surendranagar late Wednesday.

The police said that seven youths, in the 20-27 age group, were travelling in the car, which was overspeeding.

While two men are being treated at a hospital, one of the injured has been discharged.

Sub-Inspector M A Saiyed of Dhrangadhra police station said, “The accident took place around 11.45 pm on Wednesday. The car was overspeeding and faced a steep turn. The driver lost control of the car, which collided with a divider, flipped a few times and hit a truck.”

The accident took place when the youths were returning from a hotel after dinner, he added.

“In the preliminary investigation, it has been found three persons died on the spot and another during treatment in the hospital. Among the injured, while two have been admitted to hospitals in Morbi and Surendragar, one youth has been discharged,” said Saiyed.
